The new Science in Society course is a joint project of:

The Nuffield Curriculum Centre has funded much of the development work and its staff are actively involved in the project.

The University of York Science Education group. Members of the group have been part of the development team with Robin Millar providing the intellectual underpinning of the course.

AQA - the awarding body for the course. AQA Senior Subject Officer, David Baker, has the main responsibility for seeing Science in Society development through the necessary stages to a full accredited qualification.

Heinemann are publishing the textbook for the AS course. The new book will be available on 30 June 2008. It is edited by Andrew Hunt and based on the very successful AS Science for Public Understanding textbook, updated for the new course.
