The A2 textbook for Science in Society is being written

The book will cover the six A2 topics, showing how ideas about how science works apply to these topics. There will be a particular emphasis on the ideas that are new in A2 such as dynamic modelling. There will be a full account of the new science explanations showing the depth of understanding expected.

The chapters will include profiles of scientists and explanations of their work. Each chapter will offer questions to test understanding and to raise interesting issues. Like the AS book, the new text will be highly illustrated with photographs and diagrams.

The book will be complemented by schemes of work and activities on this web site including activities to help students prepare for the unit 4 assessment.
